When you do something noble and beautiful and nobody noticed, do not be sad. For the sun every morning is a beautiful spectacle and yet most of the audience still sleeps. John Lennon (via emily-huynh)

It irks me the most when people leave you dangling, as if you’re really worth nothing.

The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these, you can be sure it will kill you, too, but there will be no special hurry. Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms  (via allthisrage)

Boats and Birds- Gregory and the Hawk
If you be my star
I’ll be your sky
you can hide underneath me and come out at night
when I turn jet black and you show off your light
I live to let you shine
I live to let you shine

but you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back if you find another galaxy
far from here with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by

Have you ever been so exhausted from being around everyone to the point where all you want to do is curl up in your bed in the clothes you want to wear and close your eyes to your favorite songs. Sometimes loneliness is bliss.

Just tear me apart
and into the emptiness
breathe hope back inside.

On the Same Boat

“I’m surprised,” I said.

“About what?,” he replied back in a curious tone.

“I was able to get through today as if I was actually fine. As if nothing really happened but when I’m home, when I’m all curled up in my bed with no one by my side, that’s when everything starts to come back to me, every emotion I’ve left behind this morning,” I exclaimed.

“I know. I know what you mean. I know how it feels to be broken,” he smiled gently.

I’ll be okay. I’ll be okay eventually.
